How to improve the sex doll industry ?

Post by SvatToro38 »

Hi, I'm writing a book about sex dolls and sex robots and I'm wondering what are the most common issues of the sex doll market. I would like to ask you for your time in filling out this short anonymous questionnaire :C

One thing I can think of... I see complaints of how hard it is to reposition the doll. Joints are too stiff and the doll is too heavy. If there was a way to adjust tension on the joints so you can move the limbs easier and then lock them into place, that may improve things.

The sexdoll industry lack marketing and visibility.
The vision of the population about sex dolls is changing very very slowly because companies are not present enough and don't have a lot of visibility on the mains plateformes and both religious peoples and feminists are fighting agains it, they present it like its a plague and a way to transform womans into a simple sex tool, which is a big bag of lies by the way...

You bring up some very interesting points. There's even more controversy over small dolls. Someone in a different thread commented on a doll looking childlike. I couldn't tell how tall the doll was exactly as she was seated, but she looked like a short, thin-waisted, big breastfed woman. I am sure that my doll is shorter if just as stacked.

In my country, short dolls with child-like dimensions are not allowed due to child pornography laws. I didn't know that until after I had ordered my doll and saw some articles about a man in legal trouble for ordering a child like doll. I can't tell you how paranoid I was that my doll would be seized at customs. I did some more research and found only dolls with child like dimensions are not allowed.

There is a big debate about if these dolls are encouraging or enabling child predators. That's a topic that should be covered in OP's research.

I'm a woman who just ordered her first male sex doll. Dolls are becoming a lot more popular with women, but you don't hear of it much because of the stigma around sex dolls.

The biggest issue for women is that we are not as strong as men, so the dolls are often too heavy for us. We have to compensate by using dollies, wheeled office chairs etc. to move our dolls around. In many cases we spend almost as much on equipment to safely move the doll than we do on the doll itself. The technology exists to make lighter dolls, they don't do it because we're prepared to buy heavy dolls. But there are manufacturers who make lighter dolls from different materials. I have a cloth female anime doll who is realistic and has silicone breast and butt implants with a removable TPE vagina. She weighs about 20 kg. They could make a similar male doll. I know someone who bought a TPE male doll, she is opening the body, removing some of the TPE and stuffing it with foam to get the weight down. This could be done at the factories instead.

Other big issue for us is the lack of realism in most of the male dolls. To me they look like mens store mannequins or they are effeminate with sprayed on makeup. They are made to appeal to homosexual men. Even the bodies look terribly fake. Only a couple of companies are starting to make dolls that appeal to women, with facial and body hair and realistic, masculine faces. But the realistic dolls are usually the heaviest and often the most expensive (silicone). Women aren't looking for sex only, they want companionship as well, just like many men do. It's harder to become emotionally attached to a doll that looks like it belongs in a mens store window. That's why many women also customize our dolls by implanting more hair, changing makeup, even changing the shape of the ears and other parts of the body. If vendors and manufacturers understood the female market better, more vendors would carry a bigger selection of male dolls and they'd gain customers.

Also, someone mentioned sex dolls that look like children. There are some male dolls out there that literally look like 10 year old boys. The first time I saw them I felt sick to my stomach. It disgusts me that anyone would make such a thing. Thankfully such a doll would never be allowed into Canada.

I agree with you, companies should focus on making better quality male sex dolls with way more choices and customisations because there is a bigger demand now from both womens and gays mens.
I remember a video I saw a few years back that the owners of a sex doll factory (a couple) said openly that their main customers were womens and that they have way more questions and demands with their purchase.
I think sex dolls are good for both mens and womens even if they are in a relationship, everybody has a secret garden.

Considering women generally like tall men, getting a 6ft tall doll would be a challenge for sure! I am not a small guy but I have to pick up my 3'3" doll and put her over my knee to get enough leverage to straighten her legs out. I can't imagine what it would be like for a 5' woman to manipulate a 6' doll.

You mention some male dolls look like 10 yr old boys... I saw pics of female sex dolls that look like infants. Makes me feel like throwing up. I won't even click on the links because I don't want those pictures in my browser history.

The tallest male doll I've seen so far is 5'11. They are advertised as weighing about 115 lb. The doll I ordered is 5'4, advertised as 83 lb.

But - the manufacturers don't report doll weights honestly. I post on a male doll forum. I found out from someone who already has the doll I ordered, that he actually weighs 110 lb. That's 30 lb more than advertised. And it's not because they took the head off when they weighed it. The same person told me she weighed the head separately and it only weighed about 5 lb.

Women try to order smaller dolls with lighter weights, but it's hard, and potentially dangerous, when the manufacturer understates the weight to make a sale. Today I read a post from a woman who was excited to receive her doll on Friday, only to find she couldn't get him out of the box. She described what she had to do to prop the box upright and get the doll out. It was quite a story. She thought it was funny, but I thought she could have injured herself.

If I was a doll seller, I'd weigh the doll models myself and post that weight for the customers so they can make an informed choice. People usually have an idea how much weight they can or are willing to lift. I have planned what equipment I will use to move my doll around. Since I have a female doll already I'm familiar with the stiffness of the joints.

Hey, this is a really interesting topic. With my wife, we bought two, xxxxx one woman and one man. When we were playing with our dolls, we found that their variety of movements were not pleasing, and you needed to move by yourself to get satisfaction. We found this experience very entertaining. The things I want to be improved are the doll voices and mechanical movements. In addition, I would love the manufacturer will add a voice system like Siri to sex dolls, so we can talk about sex-related topics with them.

Hmmm what?
That was not related to this topic.

What website are you referring about?
Unless you are a scam...
